Innovative Cooling Technology for Solar Panels Using Nanofluids

Turkey's Ankara Solar Energy has introduced a new line of walkable solar PV flooring, designed for both residential and commercial use. These innovative square panels, available in 30 W and 120 W options, feature anti-slip glass front covers and come with a supportive pedestal system. They are now being marketed in both European and U.S. markets.
Ankara Solar Energy, a Turkish manufacturer, developed the PV Floor product line, which serves as both solar panels and durable flooring. This line is ideal for residential projects as well as commercial spaces like shopping centers, driveways, parking areas, terraces, decks, and pedestrian zones.
After its initial launch in Turkey and Greece in 2022, the PV Floor brand is now expanding into Europe and the USA.
A spokesperson from Ankara Solar shared that the return on investment (ROI) for a 1 kW system in countries like Spain or Greece is typically between 4 to 5 years. The PV Floor system requires adjustable pedestals, which are provided alongside the panels, eliminating the need for additional steel or aluminum structures.
The pedestals are made from polypropylene, offering a central load strength of 1,000 kg, with height adjustments ranging from 50 mm to 260 mm. The base diameter of the pedestals is 200 mm, while the top diameter is 120 mm.
The PV Floor solar panels come in two models: the PVF-08-30W and the PVF-32-120W. Both models are covered by an 8-year warranty, with a 10-year linear performance guarantee. They feature standard IP65 junction boxes and can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. The backsheet options for both models include white, black, or transparent.
The PVF-08-30W module has a 17% efficiency, with an open-circuit voltage of 6.49 V and a short-circuit current of 5.54 A. It is constructed with eight monocrystalline 10-busbar half-cut cells, and its frameless design measures 450 mm x 450 mm x 10.5 mm, weighing 5.2 kg.
The PVF-32-120W model, with a 17.84% efficiency, has an open-circuit voltage of 26.19 V and a short-circuit current of 5.62 A. It contains thirty-two monocrystalline 10-busbar half-cut cells and measures 820 mm x 820 mm x 10.5 mm, weighing 15 kg.
For grid-tied systems, microinverters or on-grid inverters are necessary, while off-grid or hybrid inverters and storage systems are required for standalone setups. The PV Floor products are compatible with various energy storage solutions, including those from Zendure, Anker, and Ecoflow.
Lead times for large orders typically range from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the order quantity.
Ankara Solar Energy has been producing crystalline silicon solar panels since 2013, with an annual production capacity of 750 MW, and exports to 40 countries worldwide.
