During Intersolar Europe, PHONO announced two significant photovoltaic (PV) carport agreements totaling 116MW, marking the company's significant advancement in Europe's premium distributed energy sector and reinforcing its position in integrated solar-storage solutions.
A key factor in these deals is PHONO's recent certification from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBT), widely recognized as the essential "technical passport" for accessing Europe's high-end markets. This certification validates that PHONO's carport systems meet Germany's rigorous standards for: - Structural integrity - Environmental compliance - Weather resilience - Fire safety performance - Long-term reliability CLEVANA Consulting, with its specialized knowledge of European building regulations, provided crucial support throughout the certification process.
16MW TOPCon Carport Project with Solea The first agreement partners PHONO with Solea, a German EPC company based in Plattling that offers comprehensive PV solutions. This project will feature PHONO's Draco series modules, which have demonstrated exceptional resistance to extreme weather conditions through extensive testing. The mounting structure incorporates specialized design elements for waterproofing, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Georg Sterne of Solea noted, "PHONO's DIBT-certified solution meets the industry's highest standards, and we believe our partnership will establish new benchmarks for green transportation infrastructure in Europe."
100MW Framework Agreement with NowaX The second and larger agreement involves NowaX Energie Beteiligung GmbH for a major European automotive logistics company. This framework covers the deployment of integrated solar carports with storage systems across five logistics centers in Germany, representing the first phase of a potential multi-site implementation. The project is expected to generate over 100 million kWh annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 80,000 tons compared to coal-based electricity. Michael Vogl from NowaX explained their choice: "PHONO's compliance with Germany's stringent building material standards, combined with their expertise in comprehensive carport solutions and localized support, made them our preferred module supplier."
Sammi Lyu, PHONO's Regional Director, emphasized the company's commitment to localized service: "Our European team will ensure strict adherence to DIBT standards throughout the entire project lifecycle, delivering safe, reliable, and high-return solar carport solutions." Zaifeng Zhong, General Manager of SUMEC PHONO, highlighted that these projects validate both the company's technical capabilities and their European partners' confidence in PHONO's service excellence. The company plans to continue expanding its innovative technologies across various applications, exploring integrated "solar-storage-charging" models with European partners to advance zero-carbon initiatives.
